The Team with driver Bobby Pierce entered the Jackson 100 in Brownstown, IN and started 19th in the field for the 100-Lap feature event. I know Mr. Lamm (Big C) was looking down on us this weekend and smiling. I can't thank all our sponsors enough that support us this year and make all this come together. Pierce Contends for Knoxville Late Model Nationals Win
(September 16, 2018) - Dunn-Benson Motorsports (DBM) made their way to the Hawkeye State on September 13-15 for the 15th Annual 'Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals' at the storied Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa. The action started at the 1/2-mile, semi-banked speedplant with a pair of preliminary shows - each of which paid $7,000 to the winner. On Thursday night, Bobby Pierce won his heat race, but lost a powerplant in the 25-lap feature event to finish in the twenty-first spot. At Knoxville on Friday evening, Bobby once again took the win in his heat race before advancing up to eleventh in the 25-lapper.

By virtue of racking up the twenty-second highest point total during preliminary competition, Bobby earned the right to the outside of the eleventh row for the start of Saturday's 100-lap crown jewel spectacular. The Oakwood, Illinois standout then looked like a serious contender for the whopping $40,000 payday in the 'Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals,' as he vaulted all the way up to second and briefly took the lead from eventual winner Jimmy Owens with a slider. However, Bobby was later involved in a skirmish with Don O'Neal on lap 88 and was forced to salvage a seventh place performance in the extra-distance affair.
